The Library of Michigan plays an important role in the cultural and economic development of our state, contributing to Michigan's prosperity and future growth.

Your support will help the Library of Michigan Foundation provide private funds for the Library of Michigan to fill in where state and federal funding is missing. Please consider making an investment in the Library's vital services, programs and collections, including:

  • The Rare Book Collection to preserve the state's printed heritage
  • Michigan Commission for the Blind Braille and Talking Book Library to provide full library service for people with visual disabilities, people with physical handicaps that prevent them from holding a book and turning its pages, and people with reading disabilities.
  • Michigan Notable Books to promote Michigan books, Michigan authors and a literate society
  • Michigan Reads! an early childhood literacy program that inspires learning and school success
  • The Michigan Collection
  • Lifelong learning opportunities and information resources to ensure an educated workforce in communities everywhere.
